2004 kicks off with "Illusions" featureing a: dulcimer and piano. The powerful guitars and piano blend make this one quite unique. " Free?" Is a classic basic metal sound, but still fresh and branded by Zia. "The Last" starts with an unearthly guitar scratch that falsely represents the rest of the song; an odd mix includeing Jazz style drums, nylon and distorted guitar, glocken, and a 20 octive piano. "Last Forever" Marching intro slides into raw heavily distorted vocals and some fast guitar riffs ending with a guitar with echo effects and washy vocals."Eject" A ice cold intro with brightness and a guitar solo and tubular bells. This song has a bit of everything. "Forgotten Environment" A guitar riff that will melt into your brain for days to come. Tubular bells introduce the simi- rough vocals and into a choir and drawboard organ. "Fire & Black Ice" Relitively slow song with raw yet melodic vocals. "Night Cries" A chilling, seamless song although very mellow yet does not detract compleately from the album. "Turn Away" There isn't really anything solid to grab onto in this song it shifts around alot. Some different stuff overdriven drums, almost sudden stops and a relaxing ending. "Orbit" This track sums up alot of the 2004 album. "Distant Corners" This is a Zia classic. Many versions of this song were recorded by Zia over the years, creating a favorite among fans. Creates a very different, warm atmosphere that the previous and post songs of the album compliment largly. "Dreams" Classical Piano with drums. "The Fall" Heavy crunchy guitars and drums with a live feel.
